From graduating from CCM in April to teaching in China now, and everything in between, this year has been marked by drastic changes. I’ll admit, I’ve often felt that same mingling of fear and excitement that I used to get the moment I stepped onto the diving block during swim team practice years ago. Yet in the midst of diving into unfamiliar and ever-changing circumstances, I am thankful for His unchanging Word—that which I received and now bring to others. “The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever.” And this word is the good news that was preached to you. (1 Peter 1:24-25) As I’ve discussed and shared it with people from very different backgrounds here, it has also continued to move me in new ways with its truth and authority. I have been sustained by His grace, comforted by His peace, and compelled by His love, and as I’ve learned to put my trust in Him, He has been faithful.
